MEET AT 8am in front of The Ripe Tomato, Borella Road, Albury for carpooling 

We will be joining Tumut & District Bushwalkers for this event. We will meet them at the Tunnel Road Picnic Area at 9am then proceed to the start of the walk. 

Woomargama has a vast range of forest and woodland communities. It contains the largest remnant community of box woodlands on the south-west slopes and is also home to the rare phantom wattle.

Starting on Murphys Trail we will deviate off-track to climb to the impressive trig at Mt Narra Narra (elevation gain 520m). Then continuing off-track following the ridge line for spectacular views west of Holbrook and the Woomargama cliffs.

Significant bush bashing and uneven ground. Gaiters strongly recommended.

Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited. 

Bushwalk - Day hike - What to bring  

• Up-to-date ICE (In Case of Emergency) form ICE Form
• Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
• Sunscreen
• Gloves and hat
• Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
• Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
• Wet weather waterproofs - jacket and pants
• Walking poles
• Gaiters
• Whistle
• Basic first aid kit, including your specific medication, eg asthma inhaler
• Torch or headlamp for contingencies
