Blue Mountains walks
Day 1 - The Prince Henry Cliff Walk is a 7 km one-way, Grade 3 track in the Blue Mountains National Park. It runs along the cliff edge from Scenic World/Katoomba Cascades to Gordon Falls near Leura, taking 3 to 4 hours to complete with over 20 lookouts overlooking the Jamison Valley. Car shuffle needed.
Day 2 – 9.5km Gordon Falls to Valley of the Waters . Walk past Pool of Siloam and on to Valley of the Waters. Walk down the steps to Empress Falls and then Sylvia falls. Walk back up to Conservation Hut. Car shuffle needed.
Day 3 – 6km? Walk from Conservation Hut to Wentworth falls via the over and Underclff track with a side trip to the Den Fenella. Walk down the cliff path to the base of Wentworth Falls and back then return to Conservation Hut via the shortcut track.
Day 4 – 6km Grand Canyon Complete the circuit descending to the bottom of the cliffs and return to Evans Lookout. An optional 200m sidetrip into the bottom of the canyon with a little scrambling.
Day 5 - 9km walk, 130km drive Drive to Newnes glow worm tunnel with a stop to complete the Dry Canyon walk on the way. This is an unmarked track through light scrub to a very impressive tight canyon.
Day 6 – Visit Mt Wilson with show gardens and autumn trees. There are a number of walks – Waterfall walk 1.4km
The Du Faurs Rocks Loop and Pheasants Cave is an easy 1.8 km loop.
Happy Valley Track 2.4km – short but relatively steep
Day 7 – Gardens of Stone Lost City walk
6km walk, 100km drive
Day 8 – 2km Furber Steps Walk to base and return via Scenic Railway or walk back up. There is also a 2.4km rainforest boardwalk that you have to pay for.
Day 9 – 5.5km North Lawson waterfall circuit
Day 10 3km South Lawson waterfall circuit ( we could possible combine these two into one day.)
This all subject to what everyone would like to do and can easily be rearranged though the first 3 days are probably best to start with.
