Founding Members

The Committee and members of the Murray Valley Bushwalkers acknowledge and thank the following individuals for their generous financial contributions, made above and beyond their membership fees, to help establish the club in 2011. When the club was formed on 7 July 2011, we had no facilities or resources. Our initial priorities included establishing a committee, creating a website, applying for Incorporated status with NSW Fair Trading, and becoming an affiliated club with Bushwalking NSW.

To achieve these milestones and to purchase essential safety equipment, the club required a one-off injection of funds. In response, we introduced the concept of Founding Memberships—a voluntary contribution of $50 that both recognises the generosity of these members and enabled us to cover the costs of legal submissions and other requirements in establishing the club.
